The United States won a total of 10 medals (6 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze), while Brazil won 13 (3 gold, 7 silver, 3 bronze). Offensive strikes with an «open hand tip or dink» that directs the ball with your fingers are illegal, as are offensive strikes that use a backhand pass to direct the ball on a trajectory that is not perpendicular to the shoulder line (backhand passes that accidentally pass over the net are an exception).
