A few years ago, I was able to test STar Early Literacy to show how useful reports are for individualizing teaching. The district chose Star Early Lit instead of the previously mandatory PALS test. With STAR, I am able to know exactly what skills my students want to work on, what they have accomplished and what skills they cannot learn. Over the past few years, I`ve been able to better understand which reading skills to focus on. My students have reached more benchmarks at the end of the year since they started using STAR!
