YLA is a specialized community legal centre (CLC) for children and youth. We provide high-quality, free and confidential legal advice to children, young people and their lawyers at the national level in all areas of law. YLA`s civil and administrative practice is our largest area of expertise. In addition, we receive a number of family law and criminal law applications. Reporting to and working under the supervision of YLA`s Senior Counsel, the Lawyer works closely with the YLA Director, other lawyers, pro bono lawyers, pro bono law students, articling students and articling students to provide legal information, advice and support online and by telephone. We strongly recommend applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for all positions.
