Legal Services Alabama`s goal is to help individuals and families become self-sufficient by helping them meet their legal needs. The ASB Lawyer Referral Service cannot help you find an attorney for a legal matter outside of the state of Alabama. If you need a lawyer outside of Alabama, please visit the American Bar Association`s Lawyer Reference Directory. Lawyers` fees are negotiated between you and the lawyer referred to you. Only the initial consultation fee is administered by the Alabama State Bar. All other fees are at the discretion of the lawyer. When discussing representation costs with the referred lawyer, be sure to distinguish between fees and expenses such as filing fees and other third-party fees that will be charged for your case.
